Covering an area of and sub-divided into 22 taluks. ==History== Vizapatam district, which included the Vizagapatam Hill Tracts Agency, was, till the formation of Orissa Province in 1936, the largest district in British India. It covered the areas of the present-day districts of Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh and the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangapur and Rayagada in present-day Orissa. The headquarters was the town of Vizagapatam, now known as Visakhapatnam.
